Stephen Bullamore was Organ Scholar at Keble College, Oxford and then Guildford Cathedral, studying primarily with David Goode and David Sanger. Solo recital venues have included Westminster Abbey, Bristol and Ripon cathedrals, Bromley, Barnet and Kingston Parish Churches. His current post at St Mary Magdalene, Newark sees him giving regular concerts in the church.
His accompanimental work includes Duruflé Requiem, Rutter Gloria, Britten Rejoice in the Lamb, Parry Blest Pair of Sirens, Elgar Te Deum and the world première of Philip Moore's Ode to St. Cecilia (with Guildford Chamber Choir).
He has a harpsichord available for hire (by Huw Saunders) and can regularly be found playing either that instrument or continuo organ. As a continuo player Stephen has taken part in performances of Handel Messiah, Saul, Semele, and Samson; Bach St John Passion and B minor Mass; Purcell Dido and Aeneas and Ode to St Cecilia; Schütz Magnificat; Biber Missa Salisburgensis; Telemann (assorted cantatas); Vivaldi Gloria (directed from the harpsichord).
